The Fund is an umbrella fund with different sub-funds, each with different investment objectives.
The sub-funds may invest substantially in financial derivative instruments, including futures, options and swaps. Given the leverage effect embedded in financial derivative instruments, investments may result in extreme volatility or even a total loss in a sub-fund’s assets within a short period of time. Investments in financial derivative instruments may also subject the sub-funds to substantial counterparty and liquidity risks.Some sub-funds may invest substantially in debt securities rated below investment grade or asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities whose value and quality depends on the underlying assets against which such securities are backed. Investments in these instruments involve substantial counterparty, liquidity and market risks, which would expose the sub-funds to significant loss.
Some sub-funds which invest in particular sectors or market segment are subject to higher concentration risk than funds following a more diversified policy.Some sub-funds may invest in emerging or less developed markets which should be regarded as having a higher level of illiquidity, volatility and currency risks than funds following a more diversified policy.
Some sub-funds may use derivatives to take short synthetic positions. Investments in these instruments may expose the sub-funds to significant loss.
